Rep. Hinkle - Treason Closet
Indiana’s Republican State Rep. Phillip Hinkle has been busted trying to pick up a gay prostitute on Craigslist. This is a staggering case of hypocrisy coming from a man who co-sponsored a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. We at Hoosier Nation knew there was something queer about his being one of the two GOP House legislators in Indiana to vote against Senate Bill 590′s tough but fair approach to illegal immigration.
Is it a coincidence that Larry Craig, Lindsay Graham, and Phil Hinkle all support open borders and treason?
Is voting with the left on immigration the political equivalent of wearing a left earring?
Hinkle’s now disgraced in the eyes of his constituents for being the depraved whoremonger that he is and will resign while mumbling some nonsense about being the victim of a “shakedown”. While picking up teenage boys for gay sex is certainly depraved, the other guy was an adult, so the only real victims of that moral transgression were his wife, his family, and himself. But when you whored yourself out to the Treason Lobby, Mr. Hinkle, you violated each and every one of your tens of thousands of constituents in an even more revolting manner. They supported Delph’s bill by an overwhelming 2-to-1 margin and were led to believe that they had elected an authentic conservative who wouldn’t throw in the towel on the fight for secure borders.
Is the other Republican legislator who threw in the towel on protecting Hoosier jobs from illegal foreigners also liable to drop the towel for nubile young men on Craigslist? We’re not accusing State Representative Edward Clere of cheating on his wife with teenage boys. If he were, though, he would not be quite as hypocritical as Hinkle, as he was Indiana’s lone Republican standing against defining marriage as being between a man and a woman.
Rep. Ed Clere
… If Republicans win the House, lawmakers likely will face another vote on a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage. When the GOP controlled the House and Senate in 2005, the proposal passed.
But a constitutional amendment must pass two separately elected legislatures to be put on the ballot for ratification. When Democrats took control of the House, Speaker Pat Bauer of South Bend said it was unnecessary because Indiana already had a law banning same-sex marriage and the issue never came to a vote of the full chamber.
The issue is not part of the House Republican agenda, but caucus leader Brian Bosma of Indianapolis said he wouldn’t block a marriage amendment proposal if it was introduced.
Unlike many Republicans, Clere has not signed a pledge promising to vote for the constitutional amendment.
“I believe in marriage. I support marriage. I am married,” Clere said. “But we have a lot on our agenda and I think we have to make sure we keep the focus on protecting Hoosier families first and foremost by passing a responsible balanced budget and a lot of the other items on the caucus agenda.”
The marriage amendment could distract from that work, he said.
We haven’t caught you tapping your feet in an airport bathroom or dropping your towel in a downtown hotel room, Mr. Clere. But we’ve caught you in bed with the Chamber of Commerce, La Raza, and the powerful globalist lobby in downtown Indianapolis. The people of New Albany deserve genuine leadership, not limp-wristed toadying for corporate interests. Come out of the Treason Closet, Ed Clere. Resign alongside your partner in crime.

I have always been suspicious of such as this, either closeted or not, who claim to be conservative on all the issues, except that one pecularity, such as homosexuality, or divorce, or gay marriage, or affirmative action, or whatever liberal issue of the day. They always end up disappointing like Graham.
